Mangalore: Mangalore University gets technology upgrade, installs IP phones for cost free communication within campus
Mangalore: With lots of smart work required for the whole University to excel, Mangalore University has done just the right thing by cutting the costs of communication within the campus.
The first of it’s kind in the state and second in the country, Mangalore University installs IP phones in all PG departments only after the Calcutta University in India.
Another specialty of the technology is it does away with cabling used for connecting phones from one PG department to the other because the connection is taken from internet connection points available in each department.
The reasons for installing IP phones would be one time investment, cutting costs for communication and helping work to be done quicker. The facility is available for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
