Shaastra 2013, IIT Madras organizes Asia’s biggest technical fest from January 5 to 8 2013.

December 16 2012, Madras: Shaastra the annual technical festival of IIT Madras is back, with a plethora of events, workshops and exhibitions centered on the theme of Igniting Imagination. The 14th edition of Shaastra, one of Asia’s biggest and best technical fest, will be held from January 5th to 8th, 2013.

This Shaastra you can get an experience of your life with a simulated experience of driving an actual aircraft. Shaastra introduces the Pilot Training Workshop, for every guy whose life journey has an aerial route!

For all the animators, Shaastra brings to you the 3D Animation Workshop, a one stop destination, to know more interesting stuff about animation, and to learn the basics of it.

Shaastra also, presents to you the Electronic Workshop, a brilliant opportunity to get involved with Bio- Electronics.
With prize money worth Rs. 1,50,000/- for a grabs, and a chance to intern with GE, the GE Innovation Challenge, at Shaastra 2013, is one of the best platforms to flex your imaginations and showcase your innovative solutions.

The theme for Autonomous Robotics this time is “Modern Warfare”, where you build autonomous robots that detect bombs and become a spy passing difficult terrains and collect bombs, and walk away with Rs. 60,000/- worth prizes.
