CSK vs KKR IPL 5 FINAL May 27 2012 match preview, DLF Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils teams and Squads Prediction
May 23, 2012, Chennai: The Indian Premier League DLF IPL Final will be played between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings CSK and the Kolkata Knight Riders KKR on this Sunday at Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Chennai has batted extremely well in the Eliminators and the Qualifiers against Mumbai and Delhi Respectively. Chennai’s last 3 matches avg while first batting is more than 200 Runs. This shows the performance of the team. Top order 6 batsmen are all in very good touch with the bat. We had seen M Hussey and Dhoni playing wonderfully. But in CSK’s previous outing we saw a Thrashing knock of 113(58) by Murali Vijay. He is now the first Indian to score 2 Hundreds in IPL History.
On the Other hand Kolkata have been in a dilemma in selecting their playing 11 for the DLF IPL 2012 Finals. There are a lot of opinions around. Chances are there M Bisla playing in this game too, as he is handy with the bat. S Narine has been in the best of his form. His 4 overs are untouchable for the Batsmen. The only negative in KKR is that they had a long break of about 1 week and thus there might be more of relaxing compared to the Chennai Squad. Chennai has played 3 Matches in last one week and all matches have been won. MS Dhoni captaincy has been exceptional and so is G Gambhir captaincy.
Chennai played their last match at their home ground and thus they will have the hold of the pitch better compared to the Kolkata players. The final is to be played at the same venue and as expected the Chennai Kings will be the favorites for the Day.

Previous Match Reviews:
R Ashwin: I had my bags packed. We all switched off during the five days (during the final league stages) and it helped us a lot. We hope to see a full house for the final. We have not had good scores on the board this season. We have to leave Murali Vijay out for the league stages and keep him only for the knock-outs.
MS Dhoni: We are a side that relies on good start. Michael Hussey and Vijay gave us a good start. Raina was striking the ball well and we finished well. I personally felt that Delhi had the side to chase this target down. It was a very good wicket to bat on. In the second half, it was not a bad wicket and the spinners were getting hit. 170-180 was a chaseable total.
M Vijay: I would like to thank Bharat Arun, my coach and Gurunath Meiyappan for his support. I backed myself and I knew the Chennai wicket. I was hitting the ball straight. After six overs, I thought that the wicket was getting slower and I decided to stay there till the end. I hope to continue my good form. I am happy to be part of this unit. I cannot match Dwayne Bravo for his dancing skills.
G Gambhir: (After Victory in Qualifier 1 against Delhi) We always felt that this was a 140-145 wicket but the way Laxmi and Yusuf played was very good. Yusuf was bound to get runs at some point of time. I think Kallis, Narine and Shakib have bowled really well in the tournament and especially in the past two days. Balaji too has bowled very well for us. He will get some rest now and some time to recover for the final.
Wasim Akram: I am proud that I am associated with KKR. The team enjoys being together and they like sticking together. Last year we did well, we qualified in the top four but this year has been much better. We have a positive owner in SRK. He has been waiting for the last five years and he has been very positive and patient. I think we read the wicket right, Delhi played only one spinner today, had they played another one we would have been restricted to a lower score.
J Kallis:(After Victory in Qualifier 1 against Delhi) I think we felt that we were 10-15 runs ahead of the par score. We batted really well at the end. Nice to see Yusuf and Shukla come and smash some runs at the end. We needed wickets in hand and then we knew we could get to 150 or 160. It is nice when you get days when both batting and bowling comes off well but I have enjoyed bowling in this tournament. One last game left but we will get some much needed rest.
Yusuf Pathan: My side is always hopeful of me hitting big. I haven’t been performing but I’m not worried about that because when the big match comes I know I can play well. It was good that I got 8 overs in the middle and hence I got time to relax. We are relaxed now and are waiting for the big match.
This is one of the important matches that finally counts. Even being in the top of the table throught the season 5 of IPL Delhi is now out from the tournament. Chennai are really the rising stars for IPL this year. Last 2 matches played by them have proved why they won IPL in 2010 and 2011. Could Chennai make the 3rd Consecutive WIN in DLF IPL is the question that would come to everyone’s mind. Kolkata batting depends on Gambhir and McCullum and thus if this pair is in the hut early during the game play certainly Chennai has 90% chances of winning the game, this is because the batting line-up for Chennai is just Out-standing. There squad now looks like they are ready to chase any target that is put up by their opponents. Adding to it Chennai has the best records while playing in their home ground and this match is played at Chennai Ground itself. After all Calculations we can say that CSK have a better opportunity of winning the CUP this season. Lets have the fair game and let the best team WIN.
